Why Should I Hire FL Patel Law’s Tampa Bay Trademark Attorneys to help register my Florida Business’s Federal Trademark?

There are many reasons why businesses and entrepreneurs from St. Pete, Tampa Bay, and other Florida cities hire our firm to help them register Federal Trademarks.

Our firm is composed of Florida attorneys and paralegals who each have years of experience dealing with Trademarks and the USPTO.

You can trust our advice and, when you hire FL Patel Law’s Tampa Bay Trademark Attorneys, there’s no need to worry about your application getting delayed by the kinds of simple mistakes that often crop up among first-time applicants.

Unlike some other government agencies, the USPTO does not issue refunds on rejected applications. This means that it’s important to get it right the first time, which is much easier to accomplish with good legal counsel at your side.

Save yourself the stress of rejected filings, lost fees, and delayed marketing strategies by enlisting the Tampa Bay Trademark Attorneys at FL Patel Law as your allies today.

What Should I Know About the Trademark Registration Process?

Registering a Trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office usually takes about six to nine months, although it can take longer depending on your mark and the USPTO’s caseload.

Once your application has been accepted, it will enter into an examination period where it will be reviewed for eligibility by a USPTO attorney.

If the examining attorney needs further information or believes that the proposed mark might not meet the USPTO’s standards, then an Office Action will be issued. We recommend hiring a lawyer to help respond to any Substantive Office Actions.

Next, your proposed Trademark will be published by the USPTO so that any person or business believing that your mark causes harm or infringes on their rights can file a Notice of Opposition.

Finally, if no objections are brought against your Trademark, then you can expect your registration to be complete about 12 weeks after entering the Opposition Period. A Certificate will be sent to you in the mail confirming your successful registration.
